Enter into your inner room, there you will discover how much God is seeking you out. Only in the silence of the soul, the voice of God rises up to call beyond. In the midst of the crowdedness, His voice is drowned out. We yearn for silence to think, to pray and discern the voice of our master who beckons us to come forth.
We seek the kingdom of God, but it is found within us. It’s in the deepest depth of the soul that God is nearest to us. As we enter our inner room, let us leave outside all that belongs to self, our pride, selfishness, anger and envy.
This is what happens in the interior life when a man seeks God there, for there he finds God seeking him.
“For it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:8
